Below are some guidelines and criteria related to the process of submitting scholarly works for inclusion in 吵闹的学者.

谁可以提交?

All 密歇根州立大学丹佛 undergraduate students are eligible to submit their articles or creative works as long as that work was completed while the student was enrolled at 密歇根州立大学丹佛. 

Students who have graduated from 密歇根州立大学丹佛 within the last two years are eligible to submit work completed as an undergraduate student at 密歇根州立大学丹佛.

Guidelines for Text-based Research and Creative Works Submission

Students must work with their faculty mentor to prepare any submission for consideration of publication. Students are also encouraged to visit the 密歇根州立大学丹佛 Writing Center for help in preparing text-based submissions.

The following are guidelines for submission:

  1. Text-based submissions that are between 2000-6000 words (including citations, 参考文献, and footnotes) formatted using the style appropriate to your discipline. Please work with your faculty mentor to determine appropriate formatting.
  2. Must include a brief abstract or synopsis of work that is no more than 250 words.
  3. Please format any images, figures, or tables using the style appropriate to your discipline. Be sure to credit any sources.
  4. References and in-text citations must be formatted in a style that is appropriate for your discipline.
  5. Please indicate funding sources if appropriate (ie: 本科 Research Program grant, 院长Minigrant, 部门的资金, 教务处补助金, Co-WyAMP格兰特, 或外部资金).

Guidelines for Digital Scholarship and Creative Works Submission

Students must work with their faculty mentor to prepare any submission for consideration of publication.

The following are guidelines for submission:

  1. Digital scholarship submissions may include, but are not limited to: short documentaries, 建筑设计, 技术图纸, 比例模型, 艺术作品, musical pieces or performances, 戏剧作品.
  2. Must include a brief abstract or synopsis of work that is no more than 250 words.
  3. References and in-text citations must be formatted in a style that is appropriate for your discipline. Please work with your faculty mentor to determine appropriate formatting.
  4. Work to affirm that any secondary sources you used for a course-specific project meet academic “fair use” copyright guidelines.
  5. Please indicate funding sources if appropriate (e.g. 本科 Research Program grant, 院长Minigrant, 部门的资金, 教务处补助金, Co-WyAMP格兰特, 或外部资金).

拒绝理由

Reasons for Manuscript or Digital Scholarship Rejection or Revision 

Submissions are evaluated by a faculty editorial board; however, because the faculty editorial board members may not have expertise on the content of every submission, we count on faculty mentors to work closely with student researchers to ensure manuscripts submitted for consideration are of an appropriate caliber for publication.  Following submission, the editorial board for 吵闹的学者will review the work to ensure that the work is original and meets our rigorous publication standards. 吵闹的学者 是一份包容性的期刊吗 吵闹的学者 editorial board strives to have representation of research and creative work from diverse disciplines from across the university in each edition of the journal.
